In theory there is no difference. I have done two disc brake installs. The bearing placement/location is exactly the same. You are still using the same axle spindle. You are exchanging a drum hub for a disc hub. They are assembled on the hub in the exact same manner.

The bearings themselves are carrying the load the same way. Unless I am totally missing something here, you will need to service the bearings the same way.

I always have ours done once a year. It is inexpensive insurance.

Yep - Same here. It's a good time to do a thorough examination of the suspension, brakes, bearings and tires.

    Repack Bearings

Thanks gents for the information on repacking the wheel bearings.

We purchased our Reflection TT 312 BHTS last year (August) and have put roughly 1,200 miles on it. Also, it came from Michigan to the Ohio (General RV) RV dealership when I picked it up, plus it was built in Indiana, so it has more than 1,200 miles on it. It's closing in on a year and we're getting ready for a 2,000 mile round trip to Michigan from North Carolina end of June, first 3 wks of July). I will change them out before the big trip for peace of mind and any potential issues...

Sounds like a good plan. Once a year repack.
