LED Bulbs Going out everywhere!!

Our Solitude is jsut over a year old. Recently almost half of the LED bulbs have gone out. I know LED bulbs are typically supposed to last for years not months. Yesterday I visited a dealer and looked at a 2015 Solitude and the actual fixtures have all been changed to a new design. I am starting to think that the light fixture chosen for our unit are not great quality. Has anyone else had an issue with :LED bulbs going out a lot?

Welcome to the forum Brian and Dawn! We have had our Solitude for over a year now and haven't had any problems with the lights, LED or the other ones.

Thanks, looks like you have the same model. Over half of our LED lights have burnt out and more are flickering.

I have heard of a few Solitude owners having a problem with the puck lights burning out. I believe there was a bad batch. If you contact GD or your dealer, I'm sure they will replace them free of charge. I had a couple go out and GD sent me new ones which I replaced myself. Not just the bulb, but the whole fixture. No problems since.

Picked up our Solitude in August 2013. We've only had 2 bulbs replaced.

I doubt they are actually burning out. I too have that problem and have found that if I just exchange out a different bulb from another fixture they will usually work. I have one out right now that I need to change. I've also got one that will only work with the bulb flipped over. I do think they are cheap fixtures too..

Another light out. This time the LED vibrated out of its socket and was just laying in the dome/cover.

I've had that happen too. I just tweaked one of the little wire leads a tiny bit and plugged it back in. Seems fine so far. I ordered a few spare fixtures just to have on hand. They appear to be a re design of the old ones where the bulb was completely exposed and just hanging from the connecting leads. Now the bulb is supported with a metal plate. Looks much more durable. I also had the same experience with switching bulbs around when they appeared to be burnt out. Odd how a bulb will work in one fixture and not the other.

They have a new design rather than the LED "plugging" in the LED is intregal to the unit. Grand design sent me 25 new design LEDS at no charge and I just changed them out myself.
