Isn't that the truth. Much to the wife's chagrin, I always had two cars or more. There isn't any car I had that wouldn't be worth a bunch today. I sold my GTO to a young chap who decided to drag it on a tree lined street in the snow. I don't know how he survived but the center of the car just behind the door was 10" wide when he broadsided a large oak. I gave away a 55 Merc Montclair with 48K miles and a 57 Chevy Bel Air convertible which a friend gave me when my dad wanted his garage back. Sold the 70 Vette and figured I'd never see it again. Went over to sister-in-laws house and the guy next door was the one that bought it. Talk about rubbing it in. Show winner with 2K miles and two body off restorations with 6 figure appraisal.

Looking back I originally posted my 55' Buick in 2018. Wow, that seems like yesterday. Anyway, recently got it back from 6 months of body and paint restoration.

After 7 years of building my truck from the frame up it is finally licensed and drivable. Took it down to my Dad's place to show it to him. I've owned this truck since '73 and he went with me when I bought it back then. He loved it.

Pretty much stock looking. The wheels, as you pointed out, are not, the suspension is a few inches lower, the side mirrors are from a 61' but otherwise the exterior is a 55' Century Riviera. The drivetrain is from a 64' Buick Wildcat (401 nailhead and ST400 auto) and the interior is custom.
