Thanks guys. As I understand the car was professionally built in the late 80's. Then the owner drove the wheels off it all over North America. I bought it from the 2nd owner about 5 years ago after he had updated a lot of the worn drive train parts. The car has a Buick V6 (no turbo) and automatic. I was really looking for a 34 coupe with more HP than this car, but after driving it I made a low ball offer that the owner took. The steel body car cruises at 70 effortlessly and as smooth as can be. It has been a great car and the late 80's paint stripes will soon be back in style...

I have the turbo version. ;-) 1987 Grand National. I've had it since '91. Running methanol injection with some other things it runs in the elevens at Bandimere.

I remember back in the eighties. A musclecar mag, I can't remember which one, had an article called "From Buick with Balls!". All about the GN.

That's a gorgeous GN, love the rims...perfect for it. Those were definitely a bright spot in the 80's muscle car scene.
