2019 Momentum 21G-arcs on plug in

Hi there, just wondering if anyone can share some light on this issue. We have 30 amp cord and adapter -- went to plug into GFI outlet and tripped the GFI breaker every time --- were not able to plug in -- checked the plug in -- its fine other RV\s able to plug in no prob -- use AC, Micro etc never tripped it.
Went to plug in at 30 ampservice -- arc on plug in but able to connect. -- checked cord -- no issues. Checked external electrical port -- continuity between copper ground and white wire.

Don’t plug into a hot outlet, turn off the breaker before plugging in then when all connections are made and secure, turn on the breaker. This will prevent the arcs which, of course, are a bad thing.

GFCI’s are normally 15 amp outlets so the surge required by your trailer may be causing it to trip, also check to be sure the hot and neutral are not reversed, that will cause a quick surge when plugging in, although I suspect a GFCI wired reversed would not reset someone with better experience with that will likely add some information.

thks for the reply.....GFI outlet was fine... other RV able to plug in no prob.
always turn the 30amp breaker off when there is one.... last time there was not... hence the arc and as this is a brand new unit - I would hope that things are not reversed.... but considering the issues with this unit, I would not be surprised.
