Solitude 310GK Washer Dryer

We are looking for guidance from a Solitude 310GK owner who installed a washer dryer. Our dealer is unsure how to install and said we do not have enough room and would have to pull all door moldings. He said also that the shipping on the units would be very expensive as we live in Ontario Canada. We go to Florida for 4 months in the winter and I was wondering if it would be less expensive for me to buy a unit down there and install it myself as our unit is already set up for Washer Dryer ready. I would also appreciate comments from anyone who has installed the unit themselves. Thank you for our assistance

We had them installed when we bought the trailer. It looks like a tight fit and they removed the shelfs, but don’t think they removed the door trim. I can take pictures if you want or take measurements just let me know if I can help.

Went out and looked, they had to remove the door trim. The unit measures 23 1/2” and the inside of the door trim measures 23 1/2”

While everyone is commenting, I too am wondering about installing a combo unit.

I measured and will have enough clearance. But my question is about the dryer vent hose routing.

It seems GD has marked the PS wall and where to drill; since the vent is on the rear of the dryer it will have to have 3 90 degree elbows: 1 out the rear and to the PS, 1 toward the front of the dryer and 1 to direct it outside on the PS.

That seems like a lot of bends!

this is all I can see of my vent hose, think there is only 1 90 at the back of the dryer and then a straight shot out the vent using flexible vent hose.

Hi Bob, we have a 310GK too and have wondered about the best way to do what you're doing.

You say that you may "buy a unit" in the U.S. Does that mean you have decided on a combo unit - washer/dryer in one? It seems attractive to have a single unit - less weight, more space left over - but several people have told us that (some? all?) combo units are not good dryers; they produce damp clothes that have to be hung to dry after a cycle completes.

Have you found a unit that doesn't have this shortcoming?

Any chance you can post a photo of where your vent is on the outside of the trailer?
