Dehumidifier
I was told by my tech that it is a good idea to have a dehumidifier in my RV. I purchased a 4 pint small dehumidifier from Home Depot for $50. It works great and I can't believe how much it helps keep the moisture down inside. I don't have the fogged up windows and the moisture around the air conditioner unit. Just an FYI that I thought I would share with everyone. Have a Great Day!

Thanks Kamper. We have some friends with a 369 and they also use a dehumidifier. Works great for them so I might get one too. You get moisture around the A/C unit? Which one and under what circumstances does this happen? I have not seen it in ours.

Mostly during very humid weather we get some in the living room and it drips on the couch. No issues as long as the dehumidifier is running. The weather in GA is very humid during the hot summer with thunder storms in the afternoon a norm. It rains ten minutes and then the sun is shinning again.

That should not happen as the coil should have a drain to the outside. I'd check to see if it's plugged. By design an A/C is a dehumidifier.

The problem is finding the drain. I was looking at the installation manual and didn't fine one but it has to be there someplace. May have to call GD or Dometic.

I don't believe the drain is stopped up because it drips water off the roof constantly all day. It is dry as a bone now. Maybe it cleared up itself. Thanks

That's what I figured once I looked at the parts list. It's not marked but you can see the two drain holes one on each side of the evap coil. Looked at the smaller unit and it looks to have only one drain. Also found some pictures which showed it a bit more clearly.
That said then if you only get water leaking when it really humid it's almost like the drain cannot keep up. Since I saw two drain holes I wonder if just one got plugged. Since it's just a hole on the bottom of the main pan something could have been sucked in.
You'll figure it out, have fun.
BTW, The only problem with dumping the water on the roof might be some alga growth but I don't think it hurts anything.

Use a 50 pint Frigidaire. Works great. 40% all the time.
