Marcy and I were talking about that this morning. We don't recall hearing about it on other trailers. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen but it seems to happen more to the 303's with the extension.

So, does the repair consist of rewelding the pieces that broke off, or a new bracket? With reinforcements?

Jim - the recent postings seems to be all 2" tubes with the exception of Marcy & Gary's......I think they raised their 303 with blocks or ?
I do not recall the specifics on older posts relative to shackles breaking so maybe Gary's thinking is correct. I do however, recall some posts/pictures over the years regarding broken springs on Momentums (and Solitudes too, I think.)
Maybe an IPA will help my memory.

Hi Jim,
I think you are correct that most of the reported broken hangers are Reflection 303RLS with the 2" square tube lift. But, there have been other models as well. This data may be skewed by the larger number of 303s on the road than any other model and most (since 2016 MY) will have the square tube lift.
Another curious bit of information is that on the 303s, it always seems to be the right rear hanger that breaks first. This is curious because the right side of a 303 is nearly a thousand pounds lighter than the left side.
There are two different lengths of Correct Track hangers out there. I think all the broken ones are the "tall" design. It is only recently that I learned there is a "short" style . . . from Dan's report on his recent upfit.

Colan . . . there might be something to your theory. These are definitely fatigue breaks that happen over time from some repeated action that works the hanger back and forth. All the ones that I have seen have the fracture line rusted most of the way across, meaning that they have been broken (but not separated) for a long time before they finally let go.
Maybe there is something about the forces on the right rear spring hanger in a right turn that stress and bend this hanger more than the others ?
Ours did finally let go in a sharp right forward direction crawling speed turn . . . but I'm not sure how significant this is.
