    Slide hangup

I got my unit (369RL) back from the repair dealer and all seem well until yesterday. One of the things done was a slide adjustment as things had shifted which caused the water intrusion into the dining/theater seating slide. When I was packing up yesterday, I noticed that the bedroom slide and kitchen slide came in fine. However, the dining/theater seating slide has trouble retracting. It would come in, stop, come in more, stop, etc until it was fully closed. Anyone else experience this? Should I return the unit to the servicing dealer?

David, I don't know how I missed your Thread, but our dining/theater seating slide is acting up also. It starts in just fine and about half way in it stops and will not go further until I release the switch and then press the switch again and it finishes coming in. I'm going to ask the Grand Design and Lippert Techs at the Rally about this.

Pardon my ignorance, but is the Solitude slide drive electric or hydraulic...I know the levelling system is hydraulic, so are the slides too?

Dave, I thought they were electric, but I went on Lippert's site and it looks like they are hydraulic.

Steve, if you have individual slide switches, I think they're electric drives. I believe that hydraulic slide drives work off one single switch moving all slides...you have to shut valves at the hydraulic manifold if you don't want all to move together. You could check at the hydraulic motor/manifold and see if there's lines and valves to the slide drives.

I'm thinking they're electric and they have an auto-resetting circuit breaker in line. Instead of blowing an in-line fuse, the circuit breaker trips and auto resets. There may be some binding in the slide travel that cause the drive to trip or could be a bad in line circuit breaker.

JD in customer service should be able to provide a better answer.

Dave, it's one single switch that controls both the kitchen/pantry/entertainment slide and dining/theater seating slide. The bedroom slide is a Swinteck (sp) and it is electric and has its own switch.

It's not a problem, it's just the pressure balancing out while the slides are in motion.. You know, a little here, then a little there, until both are all the way in or out. Mines done that since new (over a year and a half)

Jim, this is totally different. Our kitchen/entertainment slide comes in all the way first and then the living room/ dining room slide starts. Yesterday, it started in and stopped and would not start again until I released the switch and I heard a click. I hit the switch again and it started in again and then stopped, released the switch, heard the click and hit the switch again and it started in again. It did this 3 times before it was completely closed. It may be like Dave said, an auto resetting circuit breaker.

Hey Steve...it does sound like there's an issue with current draw on your hydraulic pump. Have it checked out while at the rally.
