2021 GDR 337RLS - Thinking about installing RVLOCK on it
Have a new GDR 337RLS... thinking about installing the RVLOCK for it... (one too many times to the storage lot without the key... LOL)
Any experiences with installing it on the 337RLS? Easy/Difficult/Things to know or watch out for?
Thx in advance for any inputCowboychincs

I have no experience installing it but others have.. I'm going to move this to the Mod section where the locks have been talked about several times

The RVLock keypad units are universal and installation in the LCI doors (also pretty universal) on GD RVs doesn't change much from model to model. I installed one on our 2016 337RLS and we loved it. After 4-1/2 years use on the Reflection, I moved the lock to our new Solitude where it continues to serve us well. A few notes:
1) Installation may require some trimming of the door - not difficult
2) The lock protrudes outside a bit more than the OEM lock. This was not an issue on the Reflection, but the assist handle on the Solitude hits the lock when folded. It still works, but may cause a wear spot over time (not a big issue, either).
3) The membranes that cover the keypad deteriorate with time and exposure to the sun. These are easily replaced and can be ordered from the company (have done this twice).
We always make sure we have the keys with us when we leave, but as full-timers, the trailer key is on the car and truck keyrings anyway. This is in case, by some freak of fortune, the batteries in the lock were to die while we are out. This will not happen if you use good batteries and replace them every year.

I just installed the Bauer Bluetooth locks. Took about 5 minutes. Mad I had them sitting a box the last few months and never did them earlier.

Thanks tons for the great info... appreciate the tidbits of help and ideas...
I will post any results I have after I have determined to actually spend the $$ on the lock...
Did you happen to install any of the "basement" electronic locks? Not sure I want to spend the $$ on those... but having quick access to the RV seems like a good idea...Cowboychincs
