Where do you get 3/8" star locking nut for the gas strut?

FYI, buying the gas strut for the awning is easy. Finding the star locking nut for the 3/8" pin that holds the gas strut is a bear.

If you buy the gas strut insist they include the locking nut because around here they are hard to get.

Anybody know how to get a few?

Use blue loctite and a normal nut

I already have a better solution than that, but I would rather have something like the original.

A hardware store should have it. If not get a star washer they work too.

If can't find at local store, online has: assortment sets in metric, 10mm is ~3/8" - Hilitchi 180 Piece 304 Stainless Steel Internal Tooth Starlock Washers
10mm only - uxcell M10 Internal Tooth Starlock Washer

At the 3/8" Star Locking Nut store on the web? (sorry - couldn't resist). One place you could try is Bolt Depot - huge selection of hardware.

Anyway, I'll take another posters suggestion to use blue Loctite a step further. Use Red Loctite - that nut will never move and when you take it off, you'll need to heat the nut up to move it.

Thanks to everyone. I was able to get several from Lippert once they were able to cross reference it. I am going to keep some of those links in case I need them in the future.
