LED awning light

Some may like the awning light, but we find it a little (no make that a lot) on the intense side. Is it possible to add a dimmer at the switch ?
It would be great to be able to soften it up when a bright light isn't necessary .

The two switches I replaced had a +input and +output wire on them. The new switches have four connections. The two mentioned and -input and -output. I just cut the negaative wire that was behind the switches and made the four connections.
I used two flat washers painted black to mount the awning dimmer in the panel and made the switch opening for the overhead light bigger to accept the new switch.
