Calbar = Chris and Laura, Barb and Rob. Son and Daughter, Wife and I. Sometimes add "s" at the end for Shadow the mini Dachshund.

Carol's favorite band for last several years has been the Zach Brown Band. She attended a ZBB concern with our daughter and son along with his girl friend in late 2011. This was the first and last concert she attended with both of our children as our son passed away in early 2012.

We started camping in a tent in the late 70s some class Cs in the 80s and 90s/early 2000s and then a TT in 2004 before getting our first fiver in 2014 (our 303.) So dipping our "Toes in the Water" (********** in the sand) one of the ZBBs top songs was a sentimental favorite for her and our joint decision for our first fiver forum name.

We enjoyed over two decades of boating, swimming, beach time, etc. with the kids/others and dipping our toes in the water. Now the fourth decade continues with our daughter, grand son, son-in-law along with family and friends.

I was being lazy and just took my old forum name from a wood carving board I was on. Whittle=carving , Burner=Woodburning. I registered as that and Gary was just Gary but then we paid the sub fee (early on in the GDowners board life) and we now both post under WhittleBurner. My posts are in red and Gary in black that matches the colors in our signature and hopefully make it easier for people to figure out who is posting.

After 24yrs of raising 2 kids (and their friends), we decided to sell the sticks and bricks, all our large household items, and become stationary full timers (stationary for about 5 years until retirement). The house closes in a week, 99% of our stuff is gone. Basically, we went with The Buergers because we are simplifying our lives.

No giggling allowed! When I was stationed in Germany in the early '80's, we used to frequent some of the local swimming areas. I was intrigued when many of the local families would arrive, strip down, and enjoy the water and sun au naturale. NOT erotic, just very natural. I tried it once or twice and it wasn't bad. After Germany, I was stationed in Tampa FL. Florida is home to many very high end resorts. Although we did enjoy the resorts, there were always too many people, some with agendas that we found offensive. This led to us just finding secluded beaches and or nature trails where we could be free. Later, I was stationed in Las Vegas, bought a boat, and found all kinds of secluded coves on the lakes and natural hot springs in the area. Although we do have many friends who enjoy life as we do and we do have many backyard get togethers, we still prefer just relaxing out in nature. Hence the "Naturist". And we live in the Las Vegas Valley. So... LV Naturist.

No, I'm not a Gronkowski fan. Gronk was a super-villain in Marvels comics. He was one of Maelstroms Minions. I used this out of HS on ball jerseys, & it stuck. When 'puters came around started using it there. Have been using it ever since. Oh yea... Gronk was dispatched to steal a compound created by Mister Fantastic but failed, & Deathurge was commanded by Maelstrom to kill Gronk. Can't remember if that actually took place

Thanks for sharing that story, Dan. So sorry about the loss of your son...I don't know if I can fully understand what a parent goes through when they lose a child.

ZBB is a favorite of mine, too. Having been deployed for so many years when I was active duty, "2 Places at One Time" speaks to me. Though I didn't go to too many places that would make the cover of a fancy magazine...

Lack of imagination. Actually I have handles on several outdoor sites however since my bride of 30 + years are on this Grand Design journey together, I figured our user name should be for both of us.
