Are you limited by bed interference first, or trailer/cab? Or, have you not ventured that close to find out...which would be understandable. Based on my measurements, I will interfere with bed sides by about 1/4" with the coupler forward, which of course provides the most clearance for the cab. Coupler pointed backward, I should have loads of bed-side clearance but would loose 8" (2x 4") of cab clearance.

I have the Andersen ultimate hitch rail version in my Ram 3500 Megacab. The bed on my truck is 6'4" which is the shortest bed length of the Big 3 HDs. My truck is also equipped with the Rambox toolboxes so the bed of my truck is narrower than a regular truck bed. The Andersen claimed to work with the Rambox so I gave it a shot. I absolutely love it so far. I do have the coupler rotated for short bed trucks. Meaning the front of the fifthwheel is 8" closer to the cab. I can get to nearly 90 degrees. I haven't had the need to turn that sharp in my travels. But to be clear, it is possible that in some conditions, there could be contact. Heres a link to a video of my setup.

I have a 2018 GMC 2500 HD short bed with factory puck system. Looking to see where others are attaching the trailer brake breakaway cable. I am switching from a pullrite auto slide to the Andersen
    Thanks

I added a clamp to one of the tubes on the Andersen and attach there...

A bit crude but functional with all reuse stuff...

I use a carabiner to attach the cable to one of the tie downs on the side of the truck bed.

For the benefit of anyone using Search on this site - I have a B&W Turnover Ball hitch system in my 2019 F350 standard bed. I have the AUH hitch coupler setup with the adapter aft of the kingpin. And then I added the 4" offset ball from B&W to give me more cab clearance.

I'll be adding a Retrax MX tonneau cover, so my biggest worry now is bed rail clearance when the truck and trailer are not level to each other.

    Best regards,
    Chris

Be sure and carry a long 1/4 inch Allen wrench. Preferably that attaches to a 3/8 inch ratchet wrench. The set screws can come loose.
