First trip with Andersen Ultimate Hitch

I purchased the Andersen Ultimate hitch in September and just completed a 1580 mile trip and was extremely pleased with its performance. Easy to load and unload and a very smooth towing experience with no bucking. Caught myself a few times looking in the rear view mirror to make sure FW was still there. Looking forward to next trip now after evaluation.Click image for larger version.

We purchased the ultimate Anderson hitch this year for our new 2019 303 RLS fifth wheel and absolutely love it. Easy to hitch and unhitch. No problems towing at all. Light weight and easy to store.

    +1

Just don’t forget to lock down on the ball. Also because it is a ball Andersen makes safety chains. Don’t forget those either.

I went with the steel rail mount version, less expensive and a little smaller footprint.

Curious to know what your tow vehicle is. We are about to take delivery on a 303 RLS and will be towing with a 2019 Ford F-350 short bed. Have taken measurements noted in the installation manual except for the distance from the kingpin to the trailer corner. If you are using a short bed, how is your clearance between cab and trailer and which way is your adapter oriented?

22,000 miles and still as great as the 1st mile.
Added the chains, not because I had to because of a law in any state. I added them because it was the right thing to do.Click image for larger version.

Hitch with ball to rear, coupler with ball forward of king pin. 3500HD crew cab short bed SRW. Can’t do 90 degrees but haven’t hit the limit anyway...

I've been using the AUH for more than an year, putting 2500 miles on my 5er, and I love it! Mostly for all the reasons listed above - no bucking or chucking, quiet, easy to load and unload, and on and on.

Pound for pound, it is a far better alternative to the standard kin pin hitch on the market.

Not to mention, my 8 year old can mount and un-mount it with ease. I'm sure my wife could, too, but she won't touch it.
