TV question
We looked at F-350's now going out today to see Chevy 3500HD an anticipation of upgrading to a Reflection 337. QUESTION for Reflection and Solitude happy campers: If you bought a new TV today, would it be a single wheel or dually? 6.5/6.75 bed or 8 foot? And your reason for that choice. Thank you in advance for your assistance in my research.

We were restricted by space so I couldn't go with either a long bed or a dually. Luckily my SRW 3500 has the payload capacity to handle my portly 337. I love my short bed SRW but if space had not been a necessity, I would have purchased the dually.
Good luck with your decision.Paul "Poppy" and Deb Cervone

We did it the hard way the first time (started out with SRW and worked to move up to a DRW). If I had it to do all over again, it would definitely be a long-bed DRW... and our RV is "only" a Reflection 337. The 337 and the Solitudes put a lot of weight on the pin.

If I was buying a 337RLS and knew for sure I would never get anything much bigger, I'd get a 1 ton SRW. SRW are easier to maneuver, easier to fit in a garage, there are fewer tires to maintain and you can get nice looking wheels. I would absolutely get a long bed if it fit in my garage.
We started with a Reflection 318RST which had specs almost identical to the 337RLS. We bought a 1 ton SRW with a 6.5' bed to tow it. The truck fit in our garage (just barely) which was a HUGE deal for me. It easily towed our Reflection and was a great setup. After two years we decided to get a much larger and heavier Solitude. We could have just barely got by with our 1 ton SRW but in the end I decided I needed to sleep at night so we sold the SRW and got a long bed DRW. It doesn't fit in our garage which really bugs me but it will be a dream for towing our Solitude.Brian & Kellie

Another vote for the one ton SRW SB. There's a curve in my driveway that a long bed won't make and having the SRW insured that my DW can't decide we need a bigger RV without also trading for a DRW.
IMHO, the F350 SB SRW is a perfect match for our 337.John and Jean

DRW. Had a F250 & it towed our Arctic Fox just fine, but putting our Lance camper in the bed was another story. Stepping up to the 310Gk was easy with the dually & don't have to worry much about weight. Putting it in a parking lot can be a pain, but I just put it out back, take up two spots and walk a little bit farther. I don't garage it.
I'd get another DRW. That way if you step up in size on a trailer (I've done it 3 times) you already have the truck to handle the weight.Paul, Sue & Wonder Dog Zane

Our F-350 SB SRW handles our Reflection 367BHS very well. Handling and braking are good. I did add a set of Timbrens to enhance stability. I drive my truck a lot in our business so I like the maneuverability and parking advantages of the SB/SRW. Good luck!

The turning radius of F350 is between 23.8 and 29.8 depending on SRW or DRW and long bed or short bed.
The turning radius of F450 is between 23.8 and 25.2 and F450 are all DRW.
For comparison, the F150 has a turning radius of 20.35 to 26.5
So if turning radius is an issue then get the F450 DRW.Dennis & Ellie

We had a sb and have had a lb now for almost 4 years. After finding out how nice it is having that much more storage space with the lb I wouldn't go back to a sb. Driving the lb isn't any more difficult driving than it is a sb and parking it is not a problem.

350/3500 DRW with the 8' bed hands down.
You have a better margin of safety with the DRW in concert with more payload, towing and cargo capacity.
Had a Ram 2500 CC 4x4 Cimmins SB when we bought the 375RES. Towed it just fine even over the payload of the TV. But if i ever lost a rear tire it would be absolute carnage losing control.
Tow vehicles just like coaches are trade offs pros and cons.
