Anyone have experience installing TPMS on a dually with (1 inch plus thick) alloy wheels? Need advice please. It's the thickness of the rim that is the problem.

Use the TST system.
It has external sending units, and the receiver can take the truck and trailer on one monitor.

Check out the EEZRV TPMS at http://eezrvproduct.com/TIRE-PRESSUR...MS-TPMS_c3.htm. It has a large display and various options and will support all the tires on your truck and trailer. They also have an assortment of valve extenders for duallys that may help. I can't give you any advice on their dually support as I only have singles on my truck. All I know is that their system works great on my rig and has a large display that I can switch from truck mode to truck & trailer mode. Also, the owners is easy to contact and provides a lot of support. He will even stay on the phone and walk you through the setup and work out any issues you have with it.
