Magnetic Door Catch

I haven't seen if other Grand Design models have these, but on the rear of my 379, there are the magnetic catches that hold open that compartment door. I would love to pick up a couple of these to hold open the side compartment doors to keep them from slamming open and closed on windy days.

Does anyone here know where you can find these?

Yes Campingworld.com. Catalog # 70811. My package came with 2 pieces. You might have to open the back of one of them and reverse the magnet. Easy to do!

Hi Stuts! I feel vindicated. I have that same "barn door" on the off-door side of my Solitude and I installed magnets to hold it open because the wind pulled it out of my hand and slammed it into the trailer and then my back during a snow storm. Those doors become a large sail in the wind so I think GD should install magnets to keep those doors open safely.

Mr. Lucky, did your order come with the 2 pieces and also, did it come with the screws?

I actually called RV Designer Collections who make the part and the lady said there was only one catch in the pack and it didn't come with screws. The picture and details don't tell you anything about that.

Mine came with 2 magnets in each pack. No screws. I actually ordered 2 packages because If I remember right I called Campingworld and the guy said 1 piece per pack. Know I have a spare set at home.
