Looking to take delivery on a new Reflection 337 this week, have a couple questions

Before we sign papers on the purchase of our new 337 Reflection this week, I am just curious about a couple things.... when we went back for visit #2 to the dealership and walked through both the 303 and 337, I just have to wonder if you can open the refrigerator door when the slides are in. It looks like the island would prevent that possibility. Would not be a good deal for street loading the camper where sliding out the slides isn't an option.

We are starting with just one AC unit, no bedroom AC unit. Is anyone out there happily camping in hot midwest weather with just the one AC? We plan to take a "wait and see" approach, but I'm wondering what others have found. It seems like with the bedside windows, window above dresser, and roof vent that we would be okay when the outside night temp is cool enough.

We've been so impressed with this brand of 5th wheel both times we walked through the models at the local dealer. I really want to be happy with this purchase. We're going from a small 10 year old 26' Outback trailer with no slide outs and absolutely no maintenance issues, to the 337 model. Which we see as the potential "RV of our dreams". Please tell me it will be.

We have a 303, and have to load it parked on the street, slides in. Yes, you can get into the fridge to load (and unload) it. The island is curved and the fridge door clears it. On the 303 you can also get to several cupboards.

You'll enjoy the Reflection. We are happy with ours.

Hot midwest weather, you would probably want the 2nd air. We also took a wait and see on the air. On a trip from Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, N. & S. Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming. My wife tells me she want the 2nd air before our next trip. It really, though, had not been too bad with only one.

Yes, I would not buy a trailer if I could not get to the refrig. with the slides in. No problem on the 337.

We are at the end of a two week mid-west travels. So far we have used the fireplace more then the a/c. One of the first questions my wife had at the dealer was the door on the fridge, and the answer was yes. Hope you enjoy your new trailer.

Hiya Happy Kansan and welcome to the forums.
Deep south here (Louisiana). We have camped in Arkansas, Texas, and Mississippi where we definitely needed our second air--the temps reach 95 degrees+.
I'm sure you'll love the Reflection.

No problem with the fridge and slides closed. We don't have second ac but for us so far so good. I think if you want it really cold to sleep you might want the second unit. We don't mind it up in the mid 70's because that is lower then we keep the house. We so far use a small house fan on the floor to move air when we don't use ac.

I would suggest while you are still at the dealer to have your shower surround checked for leaks between the surround and rails. Seems common. We simply recaulked everything well including in the rail system where they meet the sides, no leaks after that even if I spray water at the doors from the inside.

I am sure you will really love your new unit.

Our dealer gives us two free nights at their campground when we pick the unit up, with the thought that we can make sure that we're happy with how everything works before we head home with the unit. Seems like a pretty good idea. I'll keep an eye on the shower surround, thanks for the advice!!

We only have the single A/C and haven't had any issues thus far though we haven't camped in really hot weather. I can say though that the air flow out of all the A/C outlets is balanced...even in the bedroom which is furthest from the unit.

Oddly we can't open the fridge with the slide closed on our unit. It was the 337 first built and that's one of the changes they must have done for later units. It's not a big deal to us in opening up the slide a bit. It's better than of last unit which was a rear kitchen where the slide had to be fully open.
