Rear Underbelly Stuff
So . . . a couple of threads have led me to dropping the coroplast at the very back of the trailer . . .
This one led me to realizing the manual drive on my slide was broken
https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...perating-Slide
This one led me to go looking for defective electrical connections in the same area.
https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...e-SO-Type-Cord
Dropping the coroplast was easy once I got the stabilizer assembly removed (BTW one of 4 screws was gone and another was stripped)
The first thought that came to mind after my rebuild of the plumbing area was . . . here we go again.
BTW, there is absolutely no insulation aft of the foil that wraps up the back of the water tank . . . no wonder that back floor is so cold!
More to follow (of course ) as I put this all back together.

Man, what a mess. It is amazing how little attention to detail these RV manufacturer's pay. If I was the guy wiring that up, I would be embarrassed.

Rob that pic just amazes me! You would think they could use a few wires ties and try to route the wiring a little better. GD does such a good job on a lot of things with these trailers but what you can't see is pretty scary! I think I'll never look under there, ignorance is bliss!

This is why I don't like this forum, having had TT's for years and never having to deal with much , now I read this stuff and see pics and wonder , " should I go look at that?"
I hope never to look under there but if I can get a garage built I probably will do lots more projects thru the winter.
We need to get with Cate and have her find Rob another hobby or two to keep him busy thru the "winter" in Florida.

That is two (way oversized) red wire nuts used to connect the 14 ga 12V wires to the slide motor. They were wrapped in tape, but the tape is unravelling. There are so many things under there that just make you shake your head. Like the 50A 240V cable strung through the trusses with no attachment and cut to the bare wire in several places .
