    That sounds exactly right!
This forum is going to need a whole new section for "past projects" .

Not too get off track here but Z28's (67--69) had 302s. 327 block with 283 crank having about 4" bore with a short 3" stroke. Tremendous high RPMs high HP mouse motor that was and is a sleeper. Search the net and you tube to learn more or ask and I will PM.

I remember that there was a Chevy 302, but was it from the manufacturer as such or a grease monkey mod. Also, I know of it being in the Chevy 2 nova, but never in the camaro

The Camaro Z28 when introduced had a 302 engine rated at 290 HP and as I remember was basically dimensionally a 327 block (4" bore ) with a 283 crank (3" stroke). For its time it was an engine of high revolution potential and had a version of the Duntov camshaft (very fast opening of the valves and relatively slow closure). I believe it was very competitive in the Trans Am racing series, Roger Penske as a driver.

This forum is a great tool to have!

Thanks to everyone for your help!
I believe the wheel bearings are warranted up to 3,000 miles. Mine failed at 2,000 and Lippert reimbursed me, but I went through GD. A tech told me the hubs were put on too tightly, which caused the failure. I discovered the problem when grease was being spun onto the rims.
