    New 29RS

We picked up our new 2016 Reflection 29RS today and boy are we happy with it. It was a 3 hour drive home and it seemed to handle better and pull more smoothly then our trade in. Maybe because it's heavier on the hitch, the dry weight and 2 feet longer? Maybe because we were excited to get it? Anyway, we'll be off camping as soon as we get it stocked.

Our 29RS tows so much better than our Laredo, which had terrible chucking over bumps and bridges!! We've been camping every chance all summer and just love, love, love it!!!

Well, we just finished a 3 week test run and I can say we are happy with every aspect of this rig. Ran down some pretty good wash board gravel roads. Solar setup worked well. No problems at all. Even caught a few nice trout. Heading for our first winter in the South West in December.

My solar is still pretty basic. I got my final direction from info on this forum. The setup is still portable. I replaced the Furion plugin with a Zamp plugin. I have Zamp 200 watt solar panel(2 100's) and 2 wet cell 12 volt batteries in parallel. I installed the Zamp 600 watt pure sine wave CPAP inverter in the cargo section with the AC plug, battery monitor and the remote on/off in the rig. The batteries would discharge ~75% over 24 hrs which is more then I want. We will add to the system in steps. Next will be switch to 6 volt batteries in series and a hard wired inline inverter to power all the AC outlets, appliances etc. Will add roof solar panels as needed.
