My turn, need tires...
Well, it's my turn. Looking around the 5th wheel today, I have a tire wearing on the outside, down to the wear bars. I have a 369RL. Are my stock wheels rated for 120lbs. psi if I decide to go for a higher rated tire? I've read so many tire problem threads my head is spinning. Is there a good tire that can go on my 80lbs. psi wheels, if that's what I have? I'm heading out again in 3 weeks and need this taken care of.
I appreciate any and all comments and opinions you have..
Thanks JimJim and Kerry

Your wheels are rated for the higher G rated tires, if that is the route you want to take.
If you have A tire wearing, you may need the alignment checked.
You should have the Correct Track system, which is an alignment system designed for such issues......Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

I have ordered a set of Bridgestone R250 rib tires last night at Costco for a net $195 cost--after a $70 Bridgestone rebate. The sale's only through 8/6/2014, and it's unknown whether it'll continue. That's the best price I've seen on those tires.

Huntr70 brings up a good point about alignment and the Correct Track system. These floorplans with the kitchen slide have quite a weight bias to that side and the Correct Track system will allow adjustment to fix the possible misalignment the weight bias can cause. I'm planning on having Lippert do that on our camper at the Sept rally.

Never thought of that Dave! Good idea and it makes sense. After you load up the frig and pantry, you can add a lot of weight to that side without much counter balance on the other side.

I have the factory weigh sheet on ours and it shows a 700# bias side to side unloaded. I heard from others than later production 337's are more in the order of 400 - 450#. Loading up the fridge, pantry and cupboards on that slide can make that weight grow in a hurry and that's why I want the Correct Track alignment done.

Well, my head stopped spinning. I went out and bought a set of Goodyear G614's, made in America, G rated, new valve stems, and all new ONE piece lug nuts... I'm pretty pleased with them. I feel it's going to give me peace of mind..

I had Doodyear G614's on my previous RV and now have Goodyear G114's on my Momentum. Never had a problem with either set of tires.

We, when we traded in our previous unit (I won't name from which company it came) for our 369RL, had them put the Goodyear 614 RST's from our old unit onto our Solitude. There were a couple of reasons we did this. First the tires which came on it were E Range Load and the Goodyear's are G Load Range. Second reason was that we had had installed on these tires http://www.tyron-usa.com/index.html These were installed - not cheap about $1,400.00 but the added safety after having had many blowouts on a previous fifth wheel gave us the additional peace of mind and ability to control the rig in the event of a tire blow out. Third reason was Nitrogen. We have nitrogen in our tires which helps them to run much cooler and with much less loss of tire pressure over the long haul.
We haven't had any problems with them to date and we have been running them at a pretty steady pace being that we are full timers.
