Bad wheel lug nuts..
Has anyone had any problems with their wheel lugs? I was taking my wheels off, to take in for new tires. Using an impact wrench, I hit one lug, it hammered for a second then just spun. I thought I broke the wheel stud. The only thing I came up with to do was drill it off. I center punched it and hit it with a drill bit. I instantly drilled through the sheet metal nut cover. I cut it off with a chisel. Pounded a smaller size socket onto the actual nut and finally got it off. I took one of the original wheel nuts to the tire store to see what they had to replace them with. I was told what I had was junk and ended up buying new solid, one piece lug nuts.
