Welcome to the forum JChild and congrats on your new camper!
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how much nicer the 5th wheel tows compared to a TT.

Our 2008 Chevy 2500HD diesel has been great towing our 303 over 6000 miles, including a couple of trips on I64/I77 over West Virginia hills.

Our 303 is our first fiver too after selling our Cougar TT this past spring and owning 3 mini motorhomes and a pickup box camper as our first unit back in the early 80s. We town our 303 with our 2012 Silverado LTZ duramax and it is sweet. My father-in-law was a semi driver and always shared how nice towing a fiver would be.......he was right on. Strong side winds, hills, it does not matter.......it tows just like there is hardly anything there. You will love it and you will love your 303 just like we and so many others do!

JChild, welcome and congrats on the new rig. We went from a TT to the 5er and love the change. Hookup is SO much easier and quicker. Towing is a dream .
The biggest thing to get used to is the change in how the 5er responds when backing up. Turning points are a bit different and seem slower to respond (to me anyhow) than the TT did.Marcy & Gary

Congratulations on your new 303RLS. We are getting ready to take our second trip with it for 10 days in PA. Our maiden voyage was a 13 day trip that took us to western PA, NY (near Buffalo), then back to eastern PA and back home to Central VA. You will absolutely love the 303RLS. We upgraded from a Flagstaff TT that my wife loved but after 134 days in the 303RLs she decided that it was the best choice that we ever made.

We'll, we picked up our 303RLS today. It rained a bit but pulled great. We will transfer our goods from the old trailer to our new 303 this week and then hit the road this weekend. Can't wait to get the 303 into the mountains and really start to enjoy it. So far our GMC 2500 has done very well. Getting up and down the mountains will be the big test which it should pass with flying colors.

Have a great trip and your 2500 should have no problems towing through mountains! Where are you headed?
