    I'm curious, Paul.
Did they offer to extend your warranty?

Yes they extended the warranty for 1 year. GD and the dealer also got together and took care of the cost of the slide toppers for all my trouble.

    What an ordeal for you!!

We picked up our new 2014 355TH over a month ago and we are chomping at the bit to see if we have any issues when the unit is placed in service. In the near future, we are planning a short and local shake down weekend trip in the new rig.

Problem for us is our brand new 2015 Chevy 3500 DRW (delivered end of Feb) has been in the shop for over 30 days with an electrical/computer glitch. Dealer can't figure it out! Our trailer has been locked into its very tight storage space unable to do anything more than accept a friendly visit from us. We brought it home and next day the truck went in for repair.

Reason I mention this is because mechanical things are built by humans who have good days and bad days and some of them get sold into service with issues. Our Chevy dealer has been doing everything they can to remedy our problem and I'm hopeful they will get it solved. What to do? We did our homework and bought the best truck for us, the same thing we did with the RV purchase. After the sale, it's how they treat you when problems arise that is most important.

From your posts, it sounds like you are being taken care of, which is good to see.

Hope you are a happy camper in the near future.

Grand Design has been great to deal with and they have made up for the issues I have had. Ihope the new truck that I am picking up on Monday doesn't have any issues.

I can certainly see where you would be displeased. This actually speaks a lot about the dealer. I did my PDI today on a 2015 Reflection 323BHS and found just a few minor issues. The most major was a seal in the front slide where I could see a little light followed by the door frame around the outside kitchen needing a little caulk. The most resounding and repetitive were sticky drawers with two of the rails broken. I will say that for something that is advertised to have gone through a very strict PDI before leaving manufacturing I call BS in the first degree on the "smooth" ball bearing drawers. I went through mine thoroughly with the exception of the water system as its still dropping below freezing here but I did make the dealer add this in wording that water system would be inspected at first chance and they will repair any issues on site, if it requires going back to the dealer they have to pick it up and bring it back and provide alternate accommodations for the duration that they keep it . One major difference in my experience is they had it washed, wheels and tires even cleaned up and shined plugged in with the heat on and ready to go for inspection when I got there. The very last thing in the days events was money changing hands and me signing to activate the warranty, like 5 minutes before I left. I was not 100% committed until after the inspection was done and quite honestly I would have walked from any dealer that insisted on pay first and look later.
