Newbie: Does Rotaflex work with Pullrite superglide

Let me start by saying I've been reading this forum for a month or so now and learned a LOT … so thank you to all. I'm about to place an order for my first fifth wheel, S-Class 2930RL. I'm towing with 2016 Ram 3500 SRW/SWB and Pullrite Superglide (16K). My questions:

    1. Is it worth ordering an improved pin box (I'm thinking the Rotaflex)?
    2. How does the Rotaflex work with the Superglide - can the wedge pop out of the slot on a bump?
    3. Does anyone have advice about pin box clearance over bed rails with this setup?

I tried to locate these answers in my searching, but, as a newbie here, I very well may have missed these. Apologies if I did.

I use my Rotaflex with a Pullrite Superglide with no problems. They work great.

What kind of clearances did you end up with? Thank you.

    Burt,
I measure right at 6” from trailer to bed rails. I also have a Tonneau cover rail that sticks up about another inch from the bed rails. Haven’t had any issue there and we’ve hit some weird uneven ground during parking maneuvers.

Mike. I know this is a very old post, but after living with the Pullrite Superglide, the 2930RL and the Ram for a couple of years, do you still feel OK with it? How high are your bed rails from the bed of the truck? I pick up my 310GK tomorrow and the bed rail clearace scares the heck out of me.

    Gpo1958,

This ones easy: not the slightest problem. The clearance is several inches. Putting 5 to 7 K miles on the trailer every year. Go for it! And have fun!

    Mike,

I think my bed rails may be higher than yours. I see posts about how trucks 2017 and after have higher bed rails and no one knows why. My truck is a 2017 Ford F-350. Do you know the dimension from the top of your truck rails to the bed of the truck? Mine is 21".
