Would it not be a very easy job to just buy a piece of 1/2" black iron pipe and a coupling(using gas rated sealant of course) and extend it to wherever is convenient for you?

I also have a different model, but, yes, though QD can be a son of a gun to hook up. I still use the original one for my outside stove, since that’s where it is, but for my griddle or BBQ, I added one near the end of my trailer. The line terminated about five feet or so from the end, on the curb side. It went that far for the fridge hook up. Fortunately it also had a plug in the end. With a bit of effort, I was able to remove the plug and install another QD. Easier to get to than the original one.

I find it interesting that all of the Reflection 5th Wheel floorplans have an LP quick connect. Not on the Solitudes! Not a one. Do they think we never grill outside?

IMHO it's a bad location due to the proximity of the exhaust. I had to ensure that my rubber propane hose was routed in a manner so it was as far away from the (extremely hot) furnace exhaust as I could get it. Still had me a bit nervous due to the proximity. (Yea my wife had the heat on in the unit as it was pretty cold for a few days during that cold spell we had a few weeks ago even know we were in Florida)! Also as mentioned in my OP it's a chore to connect the gas line through the access hole then under the unit. Anyway, GD had a good idea but left the engineering up to someone who may not have been qualified.
I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to point out that the access hole on the 2600RB is not for the propane line, but is for access to manually extend or retract the slide with the supplied jack socket wrench.
