The 303 as pointed comes with a while (x) where the spare tire cable comes through (previous post) and when extended the slide mechanism through the gram leaves a late opening. In our prior trailer we had mice 1 time with the entry point through the rubber seal of the slide which steel wool solved.

As for the 303 I have closed up the spare X with enternabond and the slide out mechanism with a thin cutting board that I cut to fit around the round tube that moved through the frame.

I was at a High Sierra Nevada meadow last year and could hear the mice searching for an entry off and on. The only place they found was in the propane cabinet, as I pulled away a had 2 fat mice by flight. So far so good

There’s another fairly recent thread here about keeping mice and other rodents out. Again, mice have cartilaginous skeletons which allow them to squeeze through even the smallest of crevices. If you leave your trailer with power on, the larger Victor sonic plug-ins would help keep them out of slide areas. I would think that predator urine applied to/around outer structures that contact the ground would keep them away, along with peppermint oil or balsam fir oil deterrents on the inside. When we opened the under-dinette storage this weekend there was a definite draft, so slides are clear egress points (that’s where our mouse mess was found last spring). Agree with all who refuse to outright kill them inside as the decomp smell will linger. Of the various brands of 100% pure balsam oil, Maine’s has proved to be longest lasting. I’m planning to make sachets and draft-stoppers stuffed with cedar (cedarific cat litter) laced with balsam oil before storing the trailer.

FWIW, I called my local dealer who is listed on their web site and they told me they quit selling it after Mouse-Free did not stand behind their warranty. The dealer did say that some people like it, but they don't sell it any more since they can't stand behind it.

I don't know anything else and I'm sure other people will have different experiences.

I also discovered in the 376 on the back right side underneath there is a rectangular vent that vents the garage. A mouse can easily get on there and travel in between the inner and outer wall of the garage. I took the round vent in the garage and reached in and i could put aluminum screening over the rectangular vent and then went around it with mouse proof spray foam. Then I put screening on both the round vents in the garage.

I was hoping this would be good to use. But, if it not getting backed by the company I don't think I am going to try it.

New RV Owner - We purchased an expensive 2021 Grand Design Solitude. I worried about mice, but the dealer said the bottom of this unit was a solid steel structure and the only place a mouse could get in was the heater vent. ( he put on a guard there Click image for larger version.

We put the trailer on our 40 acres of wooded land, ( dry camping - no food or electricity) AND LOW AND BEHOLD...we have mice or a mouse - trying to catch them now and starting the process of trying to figure out how they got in. When we got a mouse, it came in through the slide drain.

Now, as a preventative measure, we use a couple of products called Mouse Free https://www.mouse-free.com and Moen's Mouse-Mix https://www.mousemix.us.

The Mouse Free gets sprayed on the under carriage one every 6 months or so. The Mouse Mix is in little baggies (that you make up and come included with the mix) that gets placed in the slide drains and is replaced every 1-2 months.

The only drawback, if you can call it that, is the camper now smells like peppermint. We don't mind it, so far...

The critters can enter through any small opening. You'll need to seal all of the easy access points in your pictures. I've used spray foam for pests. Once those are blocked the easier access will be around the slide mechanism, the round tube with the large whole in the frame will need to be solved for. On this front Ive used thin flexible cutting boards, cut into squares with the inside trimmed to the size of the round tube. You'll need to cut 1 side to allow you to fit the cutting board remnant over the tube, from there Ive used magnets to hold it to the frame.

This approach works, I've been parked at meadows were when I am leaving in the early morning I can see mice jumping off the frame of the trailer in the rear view mirror. The pain of this is there is one more step in the way of having fun and you have to remember to rewove them. I believe I picked this up in this forum awhile a go there maybe a prior thread with pictures and more description

A mouse can squeeze through a hole the size of normal sized pen. Maybe it’s not the difference in trailers but the mouse population. Not sure if it’s one of those years where the rodent population exploded. I have parked my camper in a wooded area for 20 years. Always had some mice get in. I put 7-8 traps out and check them weekly from October - December. By the middle of December the traps are empty and stay that way until the following fall. I guess it’s so cold inside the camper that they don’t seek shelter inside.

A tip on trap bait: I take a D-con block in cut it into small chunks. I use a hot glue gun to anchor it to the trap mechanism. They can’t steal the bait and if they stay and gnaw on it will snap on them. I rarely have to replace the bait even from season to season.
