Howard can't tell from you pictures what part of the roof this is. I suspect that the roof construction between your 315 and my 297 are very similar so I want to make sure that I double check that area.

    thanks

Kim - good conversations to have with Val, Jerry, or other key CS folks over the next few weeks while GDRV has your 315. If so, it would be great information to share with the folks out here for your 315 (and possibly other models if you ask and talk about these as well.) Suspect GDRV does not add anything to the screws but possibly something else may be done.

I wiped clean the area where the eternabond tape would go. Smoothed any high sealant spots and applied the eternabond over the existing sealant.
Laid out the tape across the roof and put some guide marks with marker pen so it'd be straight across and evenly spaced from the seam.
Used the thicker 65mil Eternabond EB-PW040-25R RoofSeal Plus White 4" x 25' RV Leak Repair Tape
    from https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Etern.../rspw-4-25.htm
That was done a few months ago, need to go back and a a touch of sealant where the tape folds over the edge of the roof.

Are there any negatives, or unintended consequences, to applying eternabond to the seams?

I'm not aware of any. If the lap sealant still had a good bond to the roof I didn't see any reason to try to remove it all off.

Andrew had to remove some eternabond when reglueing his roof and it comes back off OK.

I cleaned the surface good, let it dry, then applied the tape right over top of the sealant. In some areas where I thought it might not completely cover it, I put a 2nd overlapping piece of tape.

You want to use a roller when you put the stuff down. I bought this one. It's EXTREMELY heavy - I guarantee it's weight will surprise you - but it puts the tape down very good.

The only negative would be if for some reason you would have to pull it off - it ain't comin' off. Once it's down, well the "Eterna" part probably says it all.
