    Ball coupler height

Does anyone know the ball coupler height on a 2019 Imagine 2400bh. I upgraded my truck and the new one has a 2 1/2 inch receiver. I need to purchase a new shank for my equalizer hitch. My camper is in storage and I can’t get to it.

I recently bought an Andersen Rapid Hitch with a 2-1/2” receiver and I love it.

This doesn’t answer your question but it pertains to new truck with 2-1/2” receiver.

It gives me lots of flexibility to tow multiple trailers around the ranch.

Dang I wish I could help with the 2400BH. However maybe I can help, I did the same thing when we bought our new truck, it has a 2.5 receiver. Our new truck does not set much higher or lower than our old truck. I just measured the original 2 inch shank dimensions, length and drop, compared that to the listings on the Equalizer web site and ordered the same shank with the same rating but in 2.5 inch. Worked out fine. I Just transferred the head to the new 2.5 inch shank.

If your new truck sets different (lets say higher) than your old, I would just increase the drop figure by the next higher measurement. You've got several holes in the drop part of the shank to adjust the head up or down to level the trailer with the truck.

That’s at level right? And is that at the bottom. I just bought a new hitch and want to get it setup as close as I can before I pick up.

That's perpendicular to the road. Hard to describe without drawing it out but basically it doesn't necessarily mean "bubble level" but is level in plane with the car (which is the goal). Another way to say it is the distance from the surface to the frame on the front and back of the trailer is the same, so the trailer and car are perfectly in line when set up.

    Ok thank you.

Reading the instructions it says make the ball hight 2 inches taller the the trailer coupler at level.

So if your saying 24 I’m going to set the ball at 26.

Double check that. My instructions said 0-1 inch above. I think very old instructions pre 2017 said 1-2". I set the blue ox at 24.5"
