I'm not your typical listener as I play guitar in a band (weekender now days) and have recorded as a ghost player. I love guitar rock so basically classic rock and 80s...AC/DC, Foreigner, Van Halen (just to name a few) are on my playlist.

When I do listen to the radio I notice they play the same songs on rotation so I'm burned out on Stairway, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, and anything by Nirvana.

I don’t care how “good a drummer” they have/had......it’s horrible and now I’m upset.

Rap is just short for cRap. I have Sirius and listen to the Beatles, 50 and 60's station. I also over 5,000 songs uploaded to google play. Great being able to say Hey Google play Gordon Lightfoot and I get to listen to as much as I want.
A group that I like listening to on the boat is Chilliwack, really liked their song Raino but not a lot of their music out there.
The Band is another group I like a lot.

Same goes for most rap. And Kenny Rogers or Kenny G...But you guys are killin me with Neil Young, he's my hero! It' not always about carrying a tune!

Speaking of Jimmy Buffet I always remember a guitar book I saw once at the music store that said "Play any Jimmy Buffet song with these three chords"
Another one: We were headed out onto the Sea of Cortez on a charter fishing boat and the captain mentioned during his announcements "We got every kind of music there is long as you like Jimmy Buffet"
Yessir, Neil Young is a treasure. If you want dulcet tones you could listen to Enya. Who I also love. But this was supposed to be about our least favorite.

For me, any sappy stuff they call R&B these days, P. Diddy and his ilk. Melissa Etheridge will draw the radio fickle finger of fate. Journey, please no. And not trying to raise the ire of anyone but just about any country music gets the axe. Well, 'cept Johnny, Waylon and Willie. Totally agree with the post about Zeppelin. I want to like it but I just can't do it any more.

Some of my top dogs - Fleetwood Mac, check out the early years. I'll listen to Stevie Nicks sing the phone book. Steely Dan, oh yes. Yep, I can still do Floyd. Sinatra .Big Band. Remember Motown? I still love it. But then, I have a girl's name.

Hijack: If you want to listen to GREAT big band music, find BBC Big Band Orchestra. I have about 8 CDs that they have done and they are fantastic. I listen to them for hours both at home as well as when driving.

I believe it's 183 but not positive, will check today and let you know. It is just before all of the sports station's. Just checked on line and they said it is 148. They even have a schedule telling you what shows are on and at what time.

Buffet cd was playing when we sank a boat off Port Austin one summer. But that's a story for another time.
