How’s this for more of “The Plan”, my wife is three years younger than me and plans to work for three more years . So I’m going to get plenty of practice at RV life before we do it together on a regular basis. We will be keeping our home in the sometimes frozen north so we’ll have a place when life on the road gets old.

Nice....mine retired at the end of Oct., 2017. She is really good at organizing and packing, so a lot of that stuff is done when we get ready to go for a weekend.....advantages both ways I guess.

Welcome to the life. Being boaters and scuba divers in Florida we trended towards getting a trawler or sail boat and doing the Caribbean Cruise thing. But then we started looking at the places we could go in a land yacht, so opted for an RV. When I retired my wife, like yours, was not eligible yet. It only took her three months of my retirement to announce to me that she was quitting her job, we were selling the house and we would just have to live in the little house on my retirement until hers kicked in....

That was February 2011. We've never looked back.
