    Rips in the roof

Noticed today that our ladder was skewed at the top. Climbed up and found that it was indeed bent , but there was also much to my not so happy finding a series of tears in the roof membrane. There’s about 10 of them:

That look pretty much like this:

Have no idea where that might have happened between East NC and Tucson, but probably along the latter end of the trip. Luckily I noticed before it came a rain shower came along and I at least slapped some packing tape over them to keep our as much water as possible.

I have some eternabond tape, been carrying it for a long while cause well, this. Are these something that will be long term fixed with it, or is this going to be an insurance claim and we need to go ahead and get that started as well as get the eternabond on them to keep water out.

    Here’s the ladder as well.

Trees can suck and make sure you do frequent roof inspections!

Must have happened when we headed to the hills of Gila for a reprieve from the treeless nothingness of west Texas.
