    Slow Shower Drain 379FL

Our first time out in our Beautiful Beast and the shower was collecting water. It's not the worst problem and it does drain eventually. We stopped at our dealer on the way home. Tech says there is no access that he knows of. He attempted to flush with a hose to no avail. We were told they will have to drop the tanks in order to access the Waterless Valve.

    Is this true GD tech?

It pains me to think our BB doesn't have an easier fix.

    Help!

We are experiencing the same problem with our new 379FL. The shower drain barely keeps the water below an 1 or more during a shower. Looking for a solution.

We picked up our 379FL about 2 months ago now and the shower wouldn't drain but very slowly. Big issue when you full time so we scheduled and took it back in. Somewhere along the 150 mile trip back to our dealer it started draining normally. Got it there hooked water up and worked fine. Tech said so etching was most likely lodged in the line and made it's way out on the voyage back. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the heads up. We've only been out twice so far, maybe it needs a little more rocking to dislodge whatever is in there. Do not want to have the tanks dropped.

    Hi Alison and Dave (@Al~and~Dave),

We use a Hepa valve rather than a p-trap on this application. This valve is accessible by removing the bottom shelf in the linen closet. The ribs on the plastic housing of the hepa valve need to be on the bottom to function properly. Also, the duck bill bladder may have reversed itself. Blowing pressurized air down the drain will often "straighten out" the bill.

    Best regards,
    ~ Janice

    Janice,

I forgot to thank you for this info. After reading about the type of valve used for this application I go ogled it for an image and further definition. We brought in our externally connected water hose (for the pressure) and using a high pressure nozzle we were able to "push" the valve into the correct flow position.
Without your help we wouldn't have know how to remedy the restrictive flow from the shower drain.

    thanks again

    Thank you so much Janice.
We are ready to winterize but will definitely use this information in the spring.
Relieved not to have to drop the tanks. Phew!
