Theater Seat Handle Cable Breaking
Anyone else had this happen? Have noticed it seemed to feel a little longer of late. Now noticed this today.

Those cables are junk. I've replaced a total of 4 of them. On top of that, when they break, the frayed wire tears up the side of the couch. GD sent me replacements while it was still under warranty. I havent bothered fixing the broken ones anymore now that I'm out of warranty, I'm not going to pay for a cable that will break again.

Is it like a throttle or choke cable? Could we use one of those that is a little more durable to replace?

Hard to tell from the picture but maybe for the replacement cord you could solder down from the handle 1/2" or to help keep it from fraying....and or try to replace the guide hole with something that will guide it better and have ( can't think of how to word this right).... less friction properties.
