2015 Reflection requires new rubber roof
After one 400 mile weekend with our 2015 293RES Reflection(purchased 6-30-2014) something caused the sealant and rubber roofing to fail around the bedroom roof vent flange. Allowing water to leak into roof and forward wall structures of our 293. The sealant around the TV antenna roof mount had also began to crack.
Grand Design warranty and parts department has approved a new rubber roof repair. I would suggest everyone check there RV's roof hardware, especially those units built in June of this year.
Hears hoping nobody else has this same problem,
Terry and Cathy

That's a real shame. But thanks for the warning. I just went up on the roof, and everything is checking out okay.

Can't say that I've seen it on a roof vent, but I've certainly seen the mounting flange on bathroom skylights warp cracking all the sealant and allowing water penetration. Perhaps the same thing with the roof vent flange?

nobody seems know what the cause may be. Maybe when they remove the rubber roof material we'll find out.

Received our 293 Reflection back Sept. 20th after rubber roof was replaced. "Wow" 30 days, one scheduled weekend missed while waiting. It took less than 24 hrs. for GD to approve new roof but it took 19 days for RV dealer to receive new roof from GD. I had an opportunity to view plywood roof after rubber was removed and was relieved to see that plywood showed no evidence of water damage. After talking with RV technician he or no one has seen this sealant failure before, not sure if GD is investigating sealant or rubber. Roof replacement took 1 week not sure if that's good or bad. As for know the new roof looks great and we look forward to our trip to North Carolina on the 25th of Sept.(in 4 days). Will be watching roof for awhile until I become comfortable with sealant and roof rubber.
