    I am towing with a 2009 Toyota Tundra with 212,000 km or 133,000 miles. Still runs great and pulled the 297RSTS to Florida this week without any issues. Hope it continues.

    They are, and they have more power than the 7.3 and sound awesome. Plus the 04 and up chassis has the coil over front springs, better turning radius and ride. If I ever have to replace my 7.3 I would strongly consider a 6.0, bulletproofed.

    As my signature says... 1996 Dodge Ram 2500, Cummins 12 valve., NV4500 transmission, Gearvenders, Banks stinger3 with 254,000 miles... I remember when I bought her new, the guys at work laughed when I said I'd drive it until I retired... That was 12 years ago! Hard to beat these old Cummins Rams.Sadly, youngster are buying them now, and tuning pump to make smoke... "Old Girl" is probably going to cost me some money in the future, but what Old Girl doesn't cost money?
    2019 230RL Reflection ..... 1996 Dodge 2500 Cummins still pulling just as hard as the day I brought her home November 1995...3.6 Onan. 2 battleborns 300 watts solar, 1500 watt aims inverter....(Convictions are a far greater foe of truth than lies) {Nietztche}

    We are about a month into our summer trip... and the 1996 Ram is still pulling fine... thought I'd add a few comments about Mods I've done to the truck over the last 24 years... Removing the OEM fuel tank and replacing it with a tank that fills all the available space got me from 35 gallons of fuel to 60 gallons is my choice for the best Mod.... I once drove without the trailer from Ocala to Houston before filling up...I start looking for fuel after 500 miles when towing.... This led to my wife insisting on replacing the worn out OEM seats! We ordered After market seat from Superior Seats... Expensive but worth it. Something to consider if you are going to keep an older truck...

    Well I picked up an 04 F350 Lariat DRW with 68K 3.5 years ago, I'm the second owner. Had the EGR deleted and a cooling filter system put in and runs like a champ. Now has 94K on it and though I've looked at newer trucks, it still looks as good as new and no payment.

    Ok, I have you all beat on low mileage per year. 2010 Dodge 3500 crew cab long bed with the 6.7 L Cummins and (here it comes) a 6 speed manual transmission. Can you even get a manual any more?. It's a towing beast. Factory tow package which included the trailer brake setup and engine brakes. Between the engine brakes and the manual transmission, I seldom have to even touch the brake pedal coming down a steep canyon.

    I had a 97 Ram with the Cummins before I gt my 2010. Great truck, but LOUD. Sounded like a John Deere tractor. My wife could hear me coming from two blocks away. It had a 5 speed manual trans and a 4.1 (I think ) rear end that could pull the gates off of hell.

    LOL

    2004 Suburban 2500 with the 8.1 L gas, 4.10 gears. Tows my little 6500lb camper like a boss and carries the whole family (sometimes at the same time, seats 9!)

    Not all .
    2005 Ford 350 6.0 Diesel - 30,000 miles. Original owner. Used to tow 32’ 5th wheel (also new in 2005). All original.

    Now figuring out what tweaking to do to tow a 310GK (fits within F350 max but towing hills will likely be an issue).

    The 6.0 has tons of power but to make it a reliable TV it will need some things, getting rid of the Ford Gold coolant with a thorough flush in favor of a silicate free ELC would be at the top of my list. Bulletproofing would be best if you can spare the $$$
