1995 F250 7.3 158,000 miles. Not the most powerful, but pretty reliable. Far more reliable than the 2003 6.0 I had previously.

2011 F150 SuperCrew Ecoboost 4x4 Offroad with 86k miles. Did have to do the recall on molded leadframe in the transmission after a couple of issues. Running a 5 star adaptive tune really makes a difference when pulling the camper. Tows our Transcend without much effort and its usually just me in the cab - wife drives the minivan with the boys towing the golf cart.

    6.0 Bulletproofing

After about $10,000 in repairs my 2003 6.0 was pretty well bulletproofed.

    Older thread bump warning.

We bought my Dad's truck in 2018 it had 63,000 miles on the odo. We Just turned over 110k coming down for another Texas Gulf winter. I have installed airbags and Bilstein shocks.

2000 F350 7.3L diesel SRW XLT HD Super Cab Long Bed 3.73 differential. 2WD. Dad ordered this specifically for towing. Always garaged, never saw a winter. (Salt/sand, et)

I added a Ranch Hand critter guard as we live in MT and deer are stupid.

Although its 5th wheel tow limit is 13,600, we are at about 14,000 lbs with our loaded 310Gk-R (not wet, never do travel with holding tanks or water full)

    She pulls like a dream!

Older file photo before I added airbags.

No emissions bs (D this and that) and matches my 303 perfectly. If, for some reason I have to move up (happy wife, happy life...lol) I have all but the body parts to add a couple of wheels/tires to make it haul pretty much whatever she wants...

    Looks better too...

Great Truck, I will never replace mine.

Almost always had a truck, but sold my last Duramax in 2015 and were down to just a car and SUV. Needed a tow vehicle again when we decided to order a 31MB...found a 1 owner 2006 LBZ Silverado with 254k miles on it. Pretty good shape overall, needed a little TLC but decent price for a CCSB 4x4 3LT. Hoping it treats us well for a long time. I know this platform inside and out, this is my 5th GMT800 truck...had them stripped down to the frame before, been inside both the gas and diesel versions. Pretty cheap to keep them running with DIY maintenance.

Finally! Someone with an older one than ours. We have a 1996 Chevy K3500 crew cab/long bes 7.4L gas. We purchased it new and technically it is the DWs truck. Her daily driver actually. It just turned over 286,000 miles. I was concerned on our mph of just over 5. I then started using 93 octane and the mph went to 7.2 and it runs cooler.

Seeing were folks are getting 11 -13 mph with newer to new trucks I'm happy with my 7.2. I can buy a lot of fuel for the cost of a monthly payment, which we don't have but would if we bought a new truck.

    Happy Holidays everyone!
