2nd Air conditioner

Monte, I hope you don't think me a pest,,, I just found out from RV Service Dept, that the bedroom a/c is usually not vented and blows only in the bedroom. Is this how yours operates? If not, does it help the living area get cooler?

Our bedroom was vented. Once the bedroom skylight was removed we found that the ducts were taped off. We opened the vents and sealed the space that was open to the attic so we could use both ac’s for the whole coach. Yes, we run just the bedroom ac vented to the living area. It works ok as long as it’s not really hot outside.

The penguins are loud as others have mentioned. But once the area has cooled we turn the fan to low and it seems to keep the coach cooler.

I may be wrong, but I would think that if the second ac is an option - and you have ceilings vents, then it is probably ducted. But only way to tell is to remove the skylight.

rough cost to buy & install a second A/C?

I was given a price of approximately $1400. But that was for the Penguin II. I have to get a new price for the Coleman Mach 8.
