Welcome, there was a new 21G owner just last week. Starting to get some more and learning about them.
Use the search bar in the upper right and do some exploring.

Thks for the tips -- like I said -- new to this whole forum thing --
I am not sure if the forum is the place, but I would like to share my list of woes with the GD 21G ( it is quite extensive) -- we have had the unit since Oct 2018 -- first one on the road in our area... Love the design -- it is the right size and capabilities for our needs, however the finishing on the unit does not reflect well on GD. We have only been able to use it once as it has been in the shop most usable weekends for us ...
If anyone else has a list of woes about the G21 -- private message your list to me - unless it is acceptable to post the list -- then just reply and I will post mine

    Hi sharont,

This forum is not owned or moderated by Grand Design. You can post your thoughts here . . . as long as you stay within our forum rules. https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...22-Forum-Rules

If you are looking for help/ideas on how to solve problems yourself, this is a great place to ask. If you are looking to get warranty work done, it is best to take these requests to your dealer or directly to Grand Design. This forum has no influence over those interactions.

BTW - I sent you private message on sorting out the duplicate posts . . . no big deal.

    Sharont,
Would you care to share what dealer you purchased from? This information may assist future buyers during their PDI with that dealer. As a rookie 5th wheel purchaser, I did not know what I did not know, however, we utilized a PDI list for the web which helped immensely.

This is a great information sharing forum, please consider becoming a site sponsor.

    Welcome to the forum

Thks for the comment ....my dealer has been good ... the PDI was rushed because we wanted it ASAP....the issues are pretty much all from the factory .... and PDI probably wouldn’t catch them

Thought I’d revive this thread. Wow that’s quite the list. I hope you’re asking for a new rv. If you have water damage that you can see, how much is not seen? At the very least I’d demand GDRV financially compensate you.
At first thought some might think some items on your list are petty. Not me. No matter the cost that someone puts out, you should be buying a quality item. If you buy a terd it better be the best looking one In the crap heap and it should hold together like a rock solid one too. Not fall apart like paper machetes on a damp day.
The problem as I see it is there is a significant decline in professional quality work. And not just in the RV business. Some of this is consumer driven however most is just laziness.
Hopefully you will be able to get some satisfaction and enjoyable experiences in your RV

I agree, you have some issues that you just shouldn't of had however, many of those issues would have been caught by a certified RV Inspector prior to you taking possession.....espeically if you were in a hurry on the PDI. There areas where sealant was missing.....no excuse and you are correct, that should have been caught at the factory.

Also know that when a dealership has your RV for long periods of time they will often try to put it on the factory....."waitng for parts to be sent". However, many of us have learned that when we're told that, if we call Grand Design directly we'll find out that parts haven't even been ordered yet! It's smart to always bring the factory in to the loop of communication when dealing with warranty issues.......you'd be surprised at how much faster warranty work gets completed.

You don't have your signature set up so just not sure where you're located in relation to the factory. But there's an old saying in the RV world......every time we pull our rig down the road it's going through an earth quake so know that things like the little trim, etc. will come loose. Many, many items in an RV it's easier if we just fix them ourselves (Youtube is your friend!) rather than go through the issue of taking our RV to the shop and dropping it off, letting it set there for who knows how long, going back and getting it, etc. for something that you could have repaired in less than an hour.

Us full timers can't afford to have our RVs sitting in a dealership so we learn wether we want to or not.

It looks like most of the items on your list have been taken care of or are in the process of being taken care of and we're happy for you, for that. I'm in the process of selling my 42' Momentum, buying a small home in Green Valley, Az. for winter time and then buying a small G series Momentum to travel in the summer months so this thread is important to me. I am following your progress.
SOLD my 2017 Momentum 376TH being pulled by a 2014 Ford F-350 Lariat, FX-4, Crew Cab, Longbed, Dually. Not pulling the 5er, catch me on my 2013 CVO Harley Ultra Classic.

Map = states that we've stayed at least one night in our RV.
