    Awning issues

We love our new Reflection 323, but are having some issues. Has anyone had a problem with the awning pulling away from where it attaches to the RV?

    Welcome to the forum!

Yes it's an known issue and has been discussed here... http://www.mygrandrv.com/for...ing+separating

The awning on our 337 is starting to separate at the door end and will have the special rivets installed at the owners' rally. You could contact GD Customer Service and install them yourself or have them sent to your dealer and have the work done there.

Mine is all fixed, but if you're worried about it getting worse, I found a temporary fix while we were on the road.

    1. Run the awning out about 6-8 inches
    2. Use a ladder, your truck, or climb up on the roof to access the awning rail.
    3. Push on the awning rail, and you'll easily be able to see which screws have started to back out.
    4. Remove one screw at a time, and fill the screw hole with as many wooden toothpicks as you can place in the hole.
    5. Break off the tooth picks where they stick out past the awning rail.
    6. Reinsert the screw and tighten snugly.
    7. Move on to the next loose screw.

It took me about 15 minutes to do this while I was laying down on the roof. It held for about 1000 miles until I could get the proper rivets to do the repair correctly.
