Slide out straps broken

I got my 337 out of storage on the 24th and noticed my strap was broken - stored inside all winter but I suspect the very cold temps took their toll. Of course, now the unit is a week out of warranty

I bet they'd cover it. Please try, I'd like to know. From everything we hesrd from all of you is what a great company they are. One week, if it was my business I wouldn't blink an eye at that.

I posted a pic earlier in this thread of a repair with a piece of rubber and stainless screws. I consider it a permanent fix. It works great!

A friend of mine purchased a 317 and their strap broke on the slide-out side, hung down and rubbed on the tire causing the tire to rub through the propane line housing and propane line. Luckily they noticed it before it got to the electric lines. Could have been a very bad experience.

This is where it connected to the slide. It was in the two outside holes which made it come really close to the tire even before it came loose.

Here you can see where it rubbed through the holder, propane line protector and propane line.

This is a back side view ot the holder.
When I get my 27RL I am going to put a strap with oversize washers and bolts instead of screws in mine.

Checked my 337 today. Front kitchen slide strap is broken at the 90 degree bend where it attaches to the outside frame of the slide. My unit was mfg in March 2014. Will notify GD tomorrow.

I did the mod that gsport came up with using the hinge plate and bolts. Works great. GD is sending me a new strap.

Whave the 27RL and the one one the dining slide and one on the kitchen slide (gas line strap) are broken. As a temporary measure I have attached a piece of 1/4 inch thick belting from a baler. (Wife works at a tractor dealership). The ends are broken so I attached the belting to the bracket and the other end to the broken strap with self tapping screws.

Ours broke also on our 337. Not good, put on new straps. This is dangerous
