    Just what I needed!!! Thank you

    Should I replace the stock battery cables with heavier gauge wire?


    Gives me a project to do this weekend.

    I wouldn't advise it at this point since you're still working through your requirements (per your other thread). Where you install your batteries and inverters will dictate the length of wire you'll need.

    I suggest you hook up the BMV into your current setup and learn how it works. Don't miss the video I linked in your other thread about wiring up the BMV-712.

    Thank you for all of the information. I may have missed it in all of the posts but does it read correctly when you are hooked up to shore power and the converter is sending a charge to the battery?
    The factory battery light system shows complete charge anytime we are hooked up to shore power.

    It shows the voltage of the converter/charger, so that is not super useful for checking state of charge, but the amps turns positive when charging so you can see current is flowing into the batteries rather than out, and the %capacity left will steadily increase.

    Note that my system no longer has the OEM's WFCO Converter (I'm using a Victron Multiplus) and I have Battle Born LifePO4 batteries, so my readings will probably be much different than what you will see on your BMV.
