Considering a Transcend. Looking for feedback

I tend to assume GVWR*0.14, especially for half-tons, when figuring how much the tongue will weigh. YMMV. I think the best advice is just 'take your setup to the scales' since there is plenty of variation.

Anecdotally, I am really happy I upsized to an F250. Our last trailer was almost 3000 pounds lighter and 7 feet shorter, but this 261BH tows much nicer than our last trailer did with the F150. I am probably not going to need any convincing in the future to get a bigger truck. Though when I take the next step up, it'll probably be a big gnarly F450 dually with monster fifth wheel. A few years off yet, when we're done camping with the kids

I just can’t afford a bigger truck...wish I could.
