I don't consider parking on a highway "boondocking". But there are no hook ups here.

    Hey where is that exactly?
We’re cruising up the 101 for the next month or so.

I too had to look it up. I bookmarked them for the future.

On edit. I really wonder how folks get into and out of those spaces with out jack knifing. Tail swing could be a problem too. Not much room. Someone with one of those powered parking aids or a small tractor like I have could do a booming business.

Like you guys we have many, many of these boondocking shots but here's a couple of my favorites:

#1 - Just last week on Crowley Lake on the eastern Sierra. 5 days and no generator except for running my coffee maker in the morning.

#2 - 2 years ago at Flaming Gorge, Utah with our besties, Jim and Ginnie (Tucson Jim). Oh, the old guy driving the boat is obviously Jim and not me

I have endless pictures of "dry camping" in reserved campsites but I'm betting DMB was referring more to camping in non-designated wilderness camps.

Couple of pics I have handy. We’ve done a good bit of boondocking though. I think we have actually done more of it in freezing conditions than pleasant actually!

A last minute decision to stay here in some wide spot on the side of the road in the middle of no where New Mexico.

And this is a great site in the Gila NF

Hitting the road Monday morning for a weeks worth of boondocking between Tucson and Cor d’Alen, ID. So if anyone knows of any good spots in northern UT, please let me know, that’s the only stretch I’m coming up empty with.

We see a lot of people climbing when we're fishing the gorge.
    We haven't been there, yet....

I stopped at a sno-park just down from the Santiam Pass after camping in eastern Oregon for a week. I'm headed back in a few weeks for some more great motorcycle ridin'. A week away from work. KEN

Does "at anchor in an isolated bay" qualify as boondocking ? .

Leave it to Rob to bring boats into a boondocking thread!
