Weber Q propane connect to fifth wheel

I've searched the posts but haven't found a direct answer to my scenario so was wondering if anyone might have an answer for me. I understand the propane quick connect on our fiver (Reflection 27RL) won't work for our Weber Q grill because it has it's own high pressure regulator. Has anyone used a T-adapter on their fiver's curbside tank to attach an extension propane hose for their Weber Q and if so what does your T-adapter look like? A pic would be nice. I've found a few on the forum but they don't seem to match what we need. Scratching my head on this.

I removed the regulator from the grill, not hard to do. So I could also run the grill off of one gallon propane tanks, I took the grill's regulator and tank connection and some additional Quick Disconnects and made a pigtail.

I bought a hose kit sold for this purpose at General RV for about $60 (IIRC). It is a ~10' hose with quick-connect fittings for each end. As others above have said, easy to remove the regulator from the BBQ and install the fitting to receive the quick-connect on the hose.

If you don't want to remove your regulator you can just buy a Y-adapter for the tank for a few bucks and run your grill hose to it. We do this with our grill and run the hose out the bottom of the propane hatch.

Do you have a picture of what the Y-adapter looks like?

This is the one that we bought. Just run your normal hose out through the bottom of the area that holds the propane tank. You may have to adjust the exact angles of the bottle and the adapter for your trailer but it works just fine.

Here is another option. I like the included 10ft extension hose and the brass cap that can be put on when im not using the grill. I didnt want to remove the regulator so I could grab those small coleman canisters of LP and take the grill to the park. I have used this setup for 3 yrs with no issues.

I converted my Weber q to run off the low pressure camper connection. Convert a Q is what I used. I bought it from general RV. It works great. I also bought a y connector so I can have both stove and grill hooked up at the same time.

They also have a kit called revert aQ. So you can quickly change back to be able to use it on the the bottle again.
