Were you riding a bicycle or a motorcycle?
I have been up in that area 3 times riding a motorcycle. It's the only place that the scenery is more beautiful the Oregon. One of the times we got snowed on in late June near the Columbia Ice Fields. We stopped there and used the electric hand dryer in the bathroom to thaw out our hand and the gloves.

    Safe travels, KEN

I can’t believe how many pilots posted here.

Most of our hobbies are now past hobbies at our age.

Wife and I owned airplanes and flew private for 38 years. We have combined 5,000 hours of PIC. Last plane was a Cessna 182RG (R182)
Wife and I rode separate motorcycles up until age 68. Wife didn’t like being on the back so I had to buy another for her.
Wife still rides our friend‘s horses, I can’t ride any more due to back issues and risk of compression fractures.
We bought a vacation cabin at a gated community with Lots of horses, private grass strip for planes, 2600 acres of trails to explore. http://ihammock.net

RVing, Love to use our Reflection to travel, explore and camp.

Thanks It was a motorcycle. It was a great trip because of the weather: sunny and no rain, so I were able to see amazing views!
