Equal-i-zer Hitch
I purchased a 10k lbs Equal-i-zer Hitch for my 2018 2800bh. The install went well except for tightening the link plates to frame. The inside link plates bent when I tightened it to the 65 ft lbs spec in the manual (hand tightened the bolts and then torqued them rotating between the two bolts as specified). Has anyone else had this issue?

On my old TT we had the Equal-i-zer hitch, and yes, the inside link plates did bend somewhat when torqued. Probably a Captain Obvious thing, but make sure you're using the holes closest to the frame top and bottom. Equal-i-zer told me it's normal to have some deflecton. One hint I'll pass on is make sure you periodically torque the bolts on the head that tension the spring bars. This helps the hitch do it's sway control thing. Also, a blob of grease on the trailer brackets where the spring arms rest keeps the squealing to a minimum.
