2600rb fridge roof vent screen?

I put screens on the furnace and the other vents but do I need to get one for the fridge roof vent? Is there one up there from the factory?

Don’t know, but I would bet there is no screen.

Check your installation manual. The plastic roof vent shown is a 3311236.XXX` the XXX is a colour code. There are four screws that hold the vent on, see if you can get them off and then look for a screen. Interestingly enough, the part number above shows a screen in the vent if you search Amazon..... so maybe there is one there. On the other hand, if you check the same manual for side, non roof vented fridges, it is clearly indicated that a vent fan must be used in the installation. GDRV chooses to ignore this, so I’d check the vent to be sure it has a screen.

Okie. I've been up there and they have silicone in the screw holes so, I'll have to get some to replace it.

I'm planning on installing a fan system up there anyway now. On our last trip the fridge struggled a bit to stay cold. I figure the fans cannot hurt. Editorializing...Why they'd use passive cooling in an enclosed space in such a harsh environment is beyond me.

I can see the need in Florida or the US south, in the PNW we are a bit more fortunate that temp and humidity generally are lower. Still, with a side vent fridge enclosure I’m looking at a fan. Leaning towards a Titan, dual 90 or 120mm with a cabled remote switch. What type of fan are you considering if you don’t mind me asking?

I was considering the Titan 120 with the automatic controller, but being a tinkerer, I may build one myself. It wouldn't take much with an Arduino, some sensors, and a couple fans to make it.
